Mujahid Jamshed – Former Middle Order Pakistani Batsman

Middle-order right-handed batsman Mujahid Jamshed was born on December 1, 1971, in the small city of Muridke, Punjab. He is a former Pakistani cricketer who played four ODIs between Jan 7 and 18, 1997. Mujahid Jamshed was brought into the Pakistan side, which was touring Australia for the Carlton and United triangular series in 1996–97. The third team was the West Indies, however, under Wasim Akram’s captaincy, Pakistan won the triangular tournament for the first time and made history in Australia.
Mujahid Jamshed played for the Gujranwala Cricket Association, Habib Bank Limited, Islamabad Cricket Association, Lahore, Pakistan Automobiles Corporation, Pakistan University Grants Commission, Rawalpindi, Sargodha, and Sheikhupura Cricket Association.
In the domestic circuit, Mujahid Jamshed was a very successful and prolific batsman, having scored plenty of runs for several teams.

His international career lasted only 11 days, in which he represented Pakistan in 4 ODI’s, in which he scored just 27 runs at a mere average of 13.50, with the highest score of 23 runs. He made his ODI debut against the Aussies at Hobart and scored 23 runs in 46 balls with the help of 2 boundaries.
In the next three matches, he didn’t perform up to the selectors’ expectations and eventually dropped and was not considered again for any selections. Jamshed can bowl part-time medium pace / off-spin bowling, having 1 for 6 in 4 overs on his ODI debut. Also, he was an excellent fielder, he could field anywhere on the ground.
Mujahid Jamshed played 127 first-class games, scored 6,376 runs at 32.20, with the highest score of 196, including 16 hundred, and 29 fifties. As a fielder, he took 54 catches. In his List A career, he played 84 matches and scored 1,820 runs at 23.33 with the help of one hundred and 9 fifties, 128* was his highest score.
