Raman Lamba 57 off 63 Balls 4 Fours, 3 Sixes, SR 90.47 v Pakistan at Kolkata 1989

In the 15th Match of MRF World Series Nehru Cup at Kolkata on Oct 28 1989 against Pakistan, the late Raman Lamba played a magnificent inning of 57 off 63 balls including four delightful fours and three towering sixes at the strike rate of 90.47. Raman Lamba and Srikanth shared an opening stand of 120 runs in the chase of Pakistan 279 runs.
When both openers were playing, it looks, that India will overcome the target within the stipulated 50 overs. But once the Raman Lamba catch taken by Aaqib Javed off Abdul Qadir bowling, the entire Indian batting collapsed and bowled out for 202 runs in 42.3 overs and lost the match by 77 runs. He hit three sixes to Abdul Qadir and Akram Raza.
