Well, the Pakistani cricketers made their dreams come true on the 1987 tour across the Wagah border by wresting the series win against India in India. (The icing on the Cake). The best part of that tour was only done by Pakistan winning the Test series after the win at Bangalore.
It also won the Charminar Trophy that was awarded to the winner of the series of One Day matches between the two traditional rivals. The exuberance seen on the faces of Pakistani players, contingent was more than reflected on the mood of the entire nation that gave it a hero’s welcome on return to Lahore. The cherishing moments can easily be seen on the faces of every player. Beating India was Imran’s dream which comes true in 1987.
